- Prepare 1 cup basmati rice
- Make ready 1 cup fresh orange juice

- Wash and soak basmati rice for 1/2 hour. Discard the soaked water. In skillet add & heat ghee. Add cinnamon sticks cloves and cardamoms (little open),bay leaf,saute for 1 min.
- Add cashewnuts halves, raisins and saute for 2 minutes.
- Add soaked basmati rice and saffron strands, mix well. Saute for 5 mins on medium flame.
- Add 1 cup water and cover and cook for 15 mins on slow flame.
- After 15 mins add salt and sugar..mix well. Now add orange juice to parboiled basmati rice.Mix well. Cover and cook for 15 mins on slow flame.
- Serve Hot sweet and tangy Orange Pulao, garnishing with orange rinds.
