- Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease and line a square baking tray. In a bowl sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt and cocoa and mix.
- Make a well in center and add water, oil, essence and vinegar. If the batter is too stiff add little more water.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Leave to cool and cut half of the tray into tiny chunks.
- Prepare the fudge sauce. Add the dry ingredients (sugar, cocoa powder, ground coffee and cornflour) to a saucepan, mix through. Add the milk and mix until there are no lumps.
