The ingredients needed to make Gulab Jamun:

  2. Get 1 cup khoya
  3. Get 2 tablespoon all purpose flour
  4. Prepare 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  5. Make ready 2 tablespoon milk
  6. Get Oil/ghee for frying
  7. Get For Syrup
  8. Get 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  9. Get 1 1/2 cup Sugar
  10. Take 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
Steps to make Gulab Jamun:
  1. Making sugar syrup: Add sugar in a pot. Pour water and heat it. Boil the syrup until it turns sticky. The syrup should not reach 1 string consistency otherwise it may not be absorbed by the jamuns.
  2. Turn off the stove. add cardamom powder and lemon juice.Stir and set aside to keep the syrup slightly hot.
  3. Making jamuns:
  4. Add mava in a mixing bowl. Add maida and baking powder in the bowl mix well add milk little by little and make smooth dough
  5. Make small balls and it should not have any cracks.
  6. Heat the oil /ghee on medium flame and add the balls in it fry it evenly till light golden brown
  7. Add the fried balls in sugar syrup and keep it aside overnight
  8. Gulab jamuns are ready serve with syrup.
