The ingredients needed to make Seafood Savoury Rice:
  1. Get 1 Cup White Rice
  2. Take 2 Cups Water
  3. Prepare Vegetable Oil
  4. Get Salt
  5. Get 1 Onion finely chopped
  6. Take 1/2 Diced Green Pepper
  7. Get 2 Teaspoons crushed garlic
  8. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon Chilli flakes
  9. Take 1 Tin Mussel
  10. Make ready 10-15 Prawns
  11. Take 1 Cup Seafood Mix (optional)
  12. Make ready 4-5 Tablespoons Robertson's spice for rice
Instructions to make Seafood Savoury Rice:
  1. Rinse the rice until the water runs clear. Drain in a colander and set aside
  2. In a medium pot, bring the 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the salt and Oil, stir and then add the rinsed and drained rice. Stir with a fork.
  3. Reduce the heat, cover the rice, and let it simmer for 20 minutes. Check it after 15 minutes to see if all the water has evaporated. If it has, the rice is ready. If not, replace the lid and let the rice simmer an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from the heat, fluff with a fork, and transfer into a serving dish.
  5. Wash and clean the same pot and put back onto the stove and put it on high.
  6. Add the vegetable oil to the pot once the oil is heating up, Add the onions, peppers, garlic and Chilli flakes into the pot and cook until medium brown (braised)
  7. Once browned, add the tinned Mussels, prawns and seafood mix and cook for another 8 - 10 mins.
  8. Add the cooked rice to the pot and Robertson's spice for rice. Mix all together and tranfer it back to the serving dish
  9. Enjoy!
