  3. Now add water cover and cook for 15 min on lower flame stir it between interval timing when dal till it becomes thick now reduce the flame
  4. Heat the tdka pan with 1tbsp ghee add cumin, asafotida crankled it add garlic change nice brown in colour then pour the over cooked dal
  5. Again heat the tdka pan with remaining ghee add red chilli powder again pour tdka cooked dal
  6. Now it is ready for serving you can enjoy it rice or chapati

Leave for another five minutes before serving. In a medium sauce pot heat olive oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves. When mustard seeds start popping add chopped onion and green chilies. Place the split peas, onion, tomatoes, ginger, ground cumin, turmeric, crushed garlic, curry leaves and stock into a slow cooker. Add most of the chilli and stir to combine.
