The ingredients needed to make Paratdar (layered) Paratha:
  1. Make ready 1 bowl wheat flour
  2. Take 1 tbsp kasuri methi

  4. Make ready 1/4 tsp carrom seeds

  6. Get 1 tbsp cooking oil for moyan
  7. Prepare As needed water
  8. Prepare 2 tb spoon wheat flour for dusting balls

In a bowl add red chili powder, turmeric powder, roasted and crushed cumin, salt, lemon juice, yogurt, ginger garlic paste and mix well, then add chicken fillets, coat well and leave to marinate. Instructions for making layered paratha or parota: Take a big lemon sized chapathi dough and roll it into a thin circle or chapathi. Now sprinkle oil, seasoning or spices (optional) and little flour on over the rolled chapathi. Spread the oil, flour and the spices all over the chapathi and roll it.

Steps to make Paratdar (layered) Paratha:
  1. Mix wheat flour, kasuri methi, salt, sugar, cooking Oil and carrom seeds in a mixing bowl thoroughly with your hands. Now knead a dough by adding water slowly. Keep aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Take a portion of dough and make a ball and roll it with the help of rolling pin as round chapati.
  3. Apply butter on all side. Then dust it with flour. Roll it as flip flop as shown in pic.
  4. Press slightly and roll it in round paratdar pera as shown in pic below.
  5. Dust it again and roll round chapati.
  6. Heat a griddle. Put the chapatti on griddle and roast for 2 minutes. Flip the side and roast from other side also till golden. Flip again and roast till done. Apply butter lavishly.
  7. You will see its parat(layers) coming out. Crush it between your palms.
  8. Serve hot garnished with butter.

Now sprinkle oil, seasoning or spices (optional) and little flour on over the rolled chapathi. Spread the oil, flour and the spices all over the chapathi and roll it. I myself am surprised that I am adding a roti recipe here in my blog :-) Truth to be said I made these for a DELICIOUS paneer dish I made and of course I think a creamy paneer dish need some kind of roti to go with that than rice. I was in a mood to make some thing new. Fold the paratha in half and apply some more oil and sprinkle with flour.
