In a pestle and mortar or an electric blender add the peanuts and the onion mixture, the tamarind chutney and lemon juice then blend with a little water to form a smooth paste. Give it a tempering of mustard seeds, hing and dry red chillies. You can add tomato and fresh coriander to this chutney as well. You can also add grated fresh coconut in this chutney.

  1. Get all the ingredients
  2. Gring peanuts to coarse powder, in a blender put garlic, ginger, green chillies, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, salt a tablespoon of water and blend to a nice paste
  3. In a kadai heat some oil add mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves, once they splutter add the green masala and simmer the flame
  4. Once the raw smell goes add peanut powder and mix nicely, now add water and allow it to boil, and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Serve it with dosa or theplas it is a good alternative to regular coconut chutney 😊 do tell me how you like it enjoy.
