Sagu is a typical karnataka style mixed vegetable curry made out of coconut paste with few spices which makes it unique in taste. Usually Sagu is eaten with set dosa or poori and you can even pair it with simple pulav or can be eaten with chapati/roti too. Put the prepared potato masala in the center of the dosa and flip half and fold the dosa in a half moon shape and serve hot with coconut and peanut chutney. Peanut curd chutney is a Fasting / Vrat chutney.
Steps to make Vrat ka dosa with aloo sabzi and peanuts chutney and masala chanch:
- For dosa soak sama rice and sabudana for 4 hours.
- After 4 hours rinse well then grind smooth batter and take out in bowl. Mix salt and curd.
- Cover and rest it fo 5 hours for fermentation.
- Put tawa on gas and heat. Grease with oil and pour little batter and spread evenly and make dosa.
- Cook it till become golden.
- For aloo sabji. Boil potatoes in pressure cooker properly. In a kadhai take 2 spoon oil and heat. Now add jeera and let it crackle. Now add chopped green chillies and boiled and mashed potatoes.add salt. And cook for t min. Garnish with coriander leaves
- For chutney dry roast peanuts. Now put them in a mixer jar. Add 2 green chillies coriander and ginger add some salt. And grind it well.chutney is ready.
- For masala chas add salt and jeera powder into chaas and mix. Add coriander leaves. And it's ready
Put the prepared potato masala in the center of the dosa and flip half and fold the dosa in a half moon shape and serve hot with coconut and peanut chutney. Peanut curd chutney is a Fasting / Vrat chutney. It is the best accompaniment for fasting /Vrat recipes such sabudana vada,Kuttu ki puri ,Ragira puri ,Vrat ke chawal etc. It is very easy to make and is delicious to eat.
