The ingredients needed to make Peanut chutney:
  1. Take 1/2 cup peanuts
  2. Prepare 10 fresh curry leaves
  3. Make ready 7 garlic cloves chopped
  4. Get 4 whole dry red chilli

  6. Make ready 1 tsp chana dal
  7. Get 1/2 tsp Rai / mustard seeds
  8. Make ready 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  9. Take Pinch turmeric powder
  10. Get To taste salt
  11. Take as required water
  12. Get 1 tsp mustard oil

In a pestle and mortar or an electric blender add the peanuts and the onion mixture, the tamarind chutney and lemon juice then blend with a little water to form a smooth paste. Give it a tempering of mustard seeds, hing and dry red chillies. You can add tomato and fresh coriander to this chutney as well. You can also add grated fresh coconut in this chutney.

Instructions to make Peanut chutney:
  1. Heat the pan with oil add cumin, rai, chana dal stir it few minutes add chopped garlic saute till it becomes change nice pinkish colour
  2. Now add red chilli, peanut saute it few minutes add turmeric powder, fresh curry leaves, tamarind pulp, to taste salt, some little water cover and cook for 3 or 4 minutes on lower flame.
  3. Now reduce the flame and cool down completely transfer the blender jar some little water now blend it make a fine puree.
  4. Now transfer in it a serving bowl.
  5. Now it is ready.

You can add tomato and fresh coriander to this chutney as well. You can also add grated fresh coconut in this chutney. Simple peanut chutney made with peanuts, chana dal, cumin seeds, ginger and tamarind. Indian meals are often incomplete without chutney.
