  9. Prepare 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
  10. Get as per taste Salt
  11. Get 2 tbsp Tomato ketchup
  12. Take 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  13. Prepare 2 tsp Vinegar
  14. Get 3 cups Water

Mostly made from semolina/rava, the recipe of which you can check here, it can also be prepared with vermicelli or oats as main ingredients. In the below recipe I have used vermicelli. Popularly known as semiya, sevai, shavige we call it shevayin in konkani. Noodles: You can use any type of noodles you like with this sauce.

Instructions to make Peanut Vermicelli (without onion & garlic):
  1. Heat Oil in a pan on medium flame. Sauté peanuts for 2 mins and keep it aside. Put some salt on peanuts (while they are hot).
  2. In a separate pan, Add a pinch of salt and 1/2 tsp of oil. Boil vermicelli for few minutes.
  3. In the same pan. Add some oil (if required). Add tomatoes, salt and green chillies, stir it for a while.
  4. Add chopped veggies. Mix them well. You can keep cooking them on low flame. This should take only a minute or two.
  5. Add Red Chilli Powder and black Pepper Powder. Mix well.
  6. Add boiled Vermicelli, tomato ketchup, vinegar, soy sauce and mix well. Add salt (if required)
  7. Toss well. Add Peanuts and it's ready. Serve hot.

Just note that the cooking/softening time will vary depending on the variety, and you may want to check that they're vegan and/or gluten-free.
