  2. Prepare 3 Boiled Potatoes
  3. Prepare 6-7 Green Chilli
  4. Prepare 1 Inch Ginger
  5. Take 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  6. Prepare 1/2 tsp Chilli Powder
  7. Prepare 1/2 tsp Chat Masala
  8. Prepare 1/4 tsp Dry Mango Powder

  10. Take 1 tbsp Chopped Coriander
  11. Prepare as needed Oil to cook Paratha
  12. Prepare as per need Water for dough

In my home, gobi paratha and aloo paratha are winners all the time. Aloo paratha is a whole wheat flatbread which is stuffed with spicy mashed potatoes. It's usually enjoyed with butter, yogurt or pickle. My aloo paratha is nothing fancy, it's a basic simple recipe which is made in every household in India.

Steps to make Aloo Paratha:
  1. In a bowl mixed wheat flour, Salt, 1 tsp oil and add water little by little and knead smooth soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 15min.
  2. To make filling, mash the potatoes in a bowl. Add Garam Masala, Chilli Powder, Green Chilli, Ginger paste, Chat Masala, Dry Mango Powder, Salt and Chopped Coriander and mix well.
  3. Take one of the dough ball and roll it in to circle. Placed stuffing in the centre. Bring all the edges together and pinch to seal the edges.
  4. Flatten the dough ball using your hand. Now using your rolling pin, roll dough into circle to apply equal pressure. Transfer rolled Paratha onto hot tawa. Cook the side for a minute and then flip over. Apply oil on the half cook Paratha and flip it. Now apply oil on other side. Press Paratha with a spatula till both sides have golden brown.
  5. Serve hot Aloo Paratha with sauce, green chutney, ground nut chutney or Curd or hot tea.
