  1. For crust: In a bowl mix together melted butter, egg and water. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Mix together to make soft dough.
  2. Press in tart tin about 0.5cm thick. Bake in 180°C preheated oven for 10 minutes.
  3. For filling: Bring milk and sugar to a boil in a pot.
  4. Whisk melted butter, flour, egg yolk, salt and custard powder to make flour paste
  5. Add 1/3 of hot milk to flour paste and whisk to avoid lumps.
  6. Return to heat and whisk continuously till it thickens. Remove from heat when it is thick.
  7. In a separate bowl whisk egg whites to soft peak. Fold egg whites into custard.
  8. Pour custard into tart shell and bake for 20-30 minutes until set in preheated 180°C oven
  9. Let cool completely and dust with ground cinnamon. Enjoy with tea
