  19. Get 1 onion cut into cubes
  20. Make ready 1 capsicum cut into cubes

  22. Make ready 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  23. Prepare 1 tsp chilli sauce
  24. Make ready 1 tsp vinegar
  25. Prepare 1 tsp red chilli powder

  29. Make ready Corn flour slurry (made of 1 tsp corn flour+ 2 tbsp water)

Instructions to make Chilli Chicken:
  1. Wash the boneless chicken and cut into small cubes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, prepare a marinade with all the ingredients except oil. Marinate the chicken for 30 minutes before deep frying.
  3. In a wok /pan heat oil for deep frying. Gently drop the marinated chicken cubes in hot oil and deep fry them on low to medium flame until they turn golden brown and crisp.
  4. Take them out and place on a paper towel for further use.
  5. In another wok/pan heat 2 tbsp oil. Add finely chopped garlic, finely chopped ginger and slit green chilli. Saute for few seconds. Add finely chopped onion and fry till brown.
  6. Next, add onion and capsicum which have been cut into cubes. Saute and cook for 1-2 minutes until they turn soft on high flame.
  7. Reduce the flame and add soy sauce, chilli sauce, tomato sauce, vinegar, red chilli powder, pepper powder, salt, sugar and mix well. Saute about for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
  8. Add corn flour slurry with little water and mix up well.
  9. Add fried chicken pieces and stir to combine well. Cook the chilli chicken over a low heat for few minutes until all the sauce is fully absorbed with the chicken. Add chopped coriander leaves, mix well and turn off the heat.
  10. Serve chilli chicken hot with roti, naan or paratha.
